Electrical Distribution

Electrical distribution is the final stage in the delivery of electricity to end users.  A distribution system network carries electricity from the transmission system and delivers it to consumers.  Typically, the network would include medium-voltage (5kV to 25kV) power lines, substations and pole-mounted transformers, and low-voltage (usually 240v) distribution wiring such as a service drop to a house or business.
